This is all Corey Kluber. Well, not entirely Kluber, but close enough.

  • Kluber pitched eight excellent innings, but had success in an odd way. Instead getting lots of outs via the strikeout, he more resembled the pitcher he was traded for. Kluber got 13 outs on the ground, which is quite a departure from his usual games. But I'm complaining, not in the slightest.
  • The Indians scored four early runs off Newark, Ohio native Derek Holland, and chased him from the game early. They were held largely in check by the Texas bullpen, but thanks to Kluber, that didn't matter.
  • I just realized the Indians won. This is going to take some getting used to...
