What better thing to start with than the AL Central standings?

In other AL Central action last night:

Tigers 7, Twins 6

Tigers 7, Twins 6: Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder lead late comeback - Bless You Boys

Tigers 7, Twins 6: Valiant Efforts in a Game Decided By Inches - Twinkie Town

Angels 5, Royals 4

Royals Continue Tailspin At Home, Lose 5-4 - Royals Review

There's starting to be some separation between the Indians and Tigers and the rest of the AL Central. The Twins have lost nine in a row, and the Royals have not been playing well for a month now.

Indians News

Chris Antonetti ponders a Carlos Carrasco return: Cleveland Indians Insider | cleveland.com

If the 8-game suspension hadn't been hanging over Carrasco's head, he and not Trevor Bauer would have made at least a couple spot starts in Cleveland, or perhaps he would have taken Brett Myers' spot in the rotation.Chris Antonetti likes what he's been doing in AAA:

"He's done everything we could have asked for him at Triple-A," said Antonetti. "He's really dominated in almost every start out there. And he's done it efficiently. He's accumulated a lot of strikeouts and not used a lot of pitches doing it which is a challenging thing to do."

The trick is figuring out if there's a way to get his suspension served without severely impacting the major-league club. The Indians would be playing with a 24-man roster for the length of the suspension.

MLB News

Jesus Montero Demoted to AAA - Lookout Landing

The key player coming to Seatlle in the Michael Pineda trade has been demoted. I think it's clear now that Montero's future isn't as a catcher, but he's struggled at the plate as well. Seattle's top prospect (and of the better prospects in baseball) Mike Zunino, is the starting catcher in AAA, so that probably means that Montero is going to DH more.
