Soylent Green is People: 5/10

If you green something, say something.

Start

This was a good week at LGT. The Tribe kept on rolling, and we found out a lot about each other. Some of it was benign but interesting...

This chart does no favors for a colorblind dude like me

Oh my. Let's move on to our weekly Ubaldo check. Thankfully, this has actually gotten to be a good thing lately.

Finally. It’s tough to wait this long in between Ubaldo starts. A one man rotation would be fine, thank-you.

This was also a good week for Hammy snark.

And one of our own got a shoutout from Grantland.com

Baseball blogger Jason Lukehart tracks a pitching efficiency stat called, appropriately enough, the Maddux. The concept of a Maddux is simple: Toss a nine-inning shutout, and do it while throwing fewer than 100 pitches. Actually getting a Maddux isn’t simple: In the past 25 years, the league has averaged about 10 Madduxes per season.

From Grantland’s Jonah Keri.

Well done, Mr. Lukehart.

I'm not sure what everyone here thinks of Bill Simmons' work, but I've enjoyed reading Jonah Keri, and I say it's a big deal to have him name drop you. Well done, indeed.

And, as always, the rest...

"Yep, that’s urine."
"It’s apple juice, Angel."
"Oh, well that explains the sugar reading I was getting."
What if...

No matter where you are, as long as there is one Yankees fan, there are too many Yankees fans

Angel Hernandez owes the As 28% of a win. If he doesn’t start paying it off, he’ll owe them a full win, at current interest rates, in 2050. IS THAT HOW YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR RETIREMENT, ANGEL?
