MLB Final Score: Blue Jays 10, Indians 8

Brett Myers apparently didn't get the memo that Masterson and Jimenez got.

It was some painful pitching to watch.

  • Good news: the Indians scored eight runs on fourteen hits, with practically everyone in the lineup contributing.
  • Bad news: Bret Myers was awful, Cody Allen was awful, and Matt Albers was sorta bad.
  • Even with the horrid pitching, the Indians still had a great chance to take the lead late. But Emilio Bonifacio's two good defensive plays in the eighth kept the Jays in front, and Casey Janssen made sure there was no ninth inning rally.
  • If you want to think happy thoughts, remember that Ubaldo Jimenez shut down this same lineup last night.
  • If you want to think sad thoughts, remember that Brett Myers allowed seven runs in five innings to the same lineup that Ubaldo Jimenez shut down last night.
  • Speaking of Myers, Jordan Bastian has this from the record book of ignoble deeds:
