Paul Hoynes has the story:
HOUSTON, Texas -- Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera slipped down the dugout steps about 10 minutes before game time Saturday night and bruised his left wrist. He is not expected to play in the series finale Sunday at Minute Maid Park.
Because he was facing a right-handed pitcher, Cabrera's left wrist wasn't an issue in his first at-bat, but when Phillip Humber was pulled in the first inning, the Astros brought in a left-handed pitcher. During that at-bat his wrist bothered him, and he was pulled.
X-Rays on the wrist didn't reveal any broken bones, so Cabrera shouldn't need to go on the DL, but he'll likely miss this afternoon's game.
"It's a little sore right now," Cabrera said. "It's not a big deal. Everything's good. I don't feel like it was serious. A little sore. I don't think [I'll play Sunday]. I'll be back soon. Maybe Monday."
