Paul Hoynes is reporting that Chris Perez has been removed from today's game due to an undisclosed injury:

We don't know if the injury is serious enough to keep him out of the World Baseball Classic, but I'm guessing that these two nuggets point towards the Indians keeping Perez out of the WBC because of the injury. Both Perez and Vinnie Pestano are scheduled to join Team USA next week.
#Indians explanation on Chris Perez: "We're working through some things with him." Announcement could be made later today or Sat.

GM Chris Antonetti and Chris Perez seen talking in hallway outside clubhouse. Should know something soon. #Indians.

Update: the injury is to Perez's throwing shoulder.
Chris Perez has "subscapularis strain" in R. shoulder, according to the Indians. Will not throw for 7-10 days. Return to games in 3-4 weeks.

Which means that Perez will also miss the WBC, and might start the season on the Disabled List.
