Cheaper Hot Dogs and Beer

Concession prices going down at Progressive Field. Other stuff happened on the field and around the league, but who really cares? Oh, and do you have the right stat geek stuff to work for the Tribe?

Cheaper beer and hot dogs! Woohoo!! Laissez les bons temps roulez!!!

Indians fans to pay less at Progressive Field for beer, hot dogs | cleveland.com : The Indians are reducing prices of domestic beer, hot dogs and other concessions, in some cases significantly below the major league average from last season.

Prices for many top-selling items have been reduced for the upcoming 2013 season. Most notably, hot dogs will start at $3 -- a 33% reduction over 2012 prices -- and 12-ounce domestic beers will be $4, a drop of up to 24% over last year. Both of these rollbacks will be available to fans for every game of the upcoming 2013 season.

In addition, 15 of the home dates will be Dollar Dog Nights. So all you Bertman connoisseurs will have more opportunities to enjoy the delicious brown mustard at Progressive Field.

Beer has been reduced considerably, and it's not just one brand:

The $4, 12-ounce beer price extends to all draft and can domestic beer located throughout the ballpark, and also applies to the "Your Dad's Beer Stand," which features popular nostalgic beer brands.

But that's not all!

In addition to the hot dog and beer price reductions, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, pizza and bratwursts will see a drop in prices up to 25%. Plus, soda refills will be only $2.

I know in the grand scheme of things this may not seem like much, but it's another nice bit of PR for an organization that for the last several years has seemingly been getting nothing but bad publicity.
