Jimenez ends his season with some rather hideous numbers. His 17 losses lead the American League, but a lot of losses doesn't automatically mean a pitcher's bad. But when you look at his earned-run numbers (5.55 ERA, 69 ERA+) and peripherals (9.7 H/9, 4.8 BB/9), it's readily apparent that the record and the statistics are in sync.
The Indians will now need to make a decision on whether to pick up Jimenez's 2013 option, which is "only" $5.75M, but given how bad Jimenez has been, what was once a given is no longer one.
Taking Jimenez's place in the rotation will be Jeanmar Gomez:
Indians' tentative rotation for the final six games of the season appears to be Huff, Gomez, McAllister, Kluber, Masterson, Huff.

Gomez has had his own struggles this season, having spent a large part of it in AAA after a poor first half in Cleveland. His ERA/ERA+ is virtually identical to that of Jimenez, though Jimenez has thrown a lot more innings.
