Game 104: Royals 5, Indians 2

Presswire

The slide continued, with both starting pitching and the offense struggling in their own separate ways. Zach McAllister, to this point the Indians' best starter, allowed four early runs, and even though he did get through six innings, the damage was already done, as the Tribe offense was its usual sluggish self, managing just 2 runs on 5 hits against starter Luis Mendoza and two relievers. At this point it's difficult to give credit to the opposing starter, because of late the Indians are struggling against pitchers of all types, whether good, bad, or indifferent.
