Cleveland at Minnesota, 8:10 PM (STO)

Starting Pitchers:

Cleveland: Fausto Carmona (6.97 ERA, 2 PRC)
Minnesota: Johan Santana (3.00 ERA, 16 PRC)

Fausto is coming off a very good start in Yankee Stadium, holding the New York offense at bay after the previous two Indian starters couldn't. He walked just one, which was quite an accomplishment given the lineup he faced. He's still very much a raw pitcher; when he's successful, he's getting by on his stuff.

Facing him tonight is the best pitcher in baseball, Johan Santana. His best pitch is his changeup; more specifically, the reason the pitch is so good is that his arm action is virtually the same for both his fastball (which sits in the low to mid 90s) and his changeup. Combine that deception with the movement on the pitch, and you have an utterly devastating weapon.
