Game One: Indians 12, White Sox 5

Just about everything worked as planned today.

The entire Chicago staff was serving up meatballs, but the Indians weren't missing them, either. Jhonny Peralta, in his first at-bat, took a tailing breaking pitch the other way with two outs in the first inning. Trot Nixon (stay healthy, Trot!) was on base four times, letting Travis Hafner hit with men on base. CC Sabathia made it through six innings with his oblique intact. And the switch flipped on at the right time for Grady Sizemore, as he took Contreras out in his first at-bat of the season.

Sabathia wasn't at his best (6.0 IP, 3 ER, 8 H, 2 SO), but he didn't really need to be. That was as easy a win for CC as he had all of last season.
