Highest WPA:

Casey Blake .049
Jhonny Peralta .033
Jason Michaels .029

Lowest WPA:

Jake Westbrook -.450
Josh Barfield -.074
Ryan Garko -.049

Westbrook was awful; he was the one who looked like a AA pitcher making his first start. He couldn't throw strikes, and the Yankees' lineup isn't a free-swinging group. And when he did throw the ball in the strike zone, it left the yard.

The bullpen was mostly good. Roberto Hernandez gave up 2 unearned runs in the seventh, which were exacerbated by two walks. The rest of the bullpen was excellent, with Jason Davis and Fernando Cabrera, thought to be the weak portion of the staff, pitching 4.1 shutout innings of relief.

Andy Marte committed two more errors at third. The Indians were expecting him to struggle at the plate, but struggles in the field were not expected.

Next up: The series continues. Jeremy Sowers vs. Kei Igawa, 7:05 PM
