The organization's top two pitching prospects are throwing in playoff games tonight. Adam Miller is pitching his best baseball of his career; since the All-Star Break, he's posted a 1.09 ERA, allowing 42 hits and striking out 66 in 57.2 innings pitched. Lofgren has slowed a bit since June (2.97 ERA since the break), but his overall numbers remain very strong: a 2.32 ERA, 108 hits and 125 strikeouts in 139.2 innings of work.
At the major-league level, Travis Hafner is still out of the lineup nursing a sore hand; Kevin Kouzmanoff will take his place as the Designated Hitter.
