Remember when Pronk was struggling?
Hafner batted .385 (10-for-26) with three doubles, four home runs and nine RBIs. He had 25 total bases and a .962 slugging percentage over the week. Hafner hit home runs in four successive games from Aug. 2-5. In doing so, he reached 30 home runs for the second straight season.
Hafner leads baseball in VORP (60.3) and Equivalent Average (.354). Not bad for a guy who hasn't made an All-Star team.
