So this is what quality pitching looks like? Cliff Lee had some control problems, but limited the damage and set up the bullpen by going six innings. Jason Davis had little trouble in his two innings of work, regularly registering 96 or above on the radar gun. The Indians didn't hit Tim Wakefield that hard (aside from Peralta's homer), but drew some walks and got some well-placed singles to fall. It was an enjoyable game to watch if you're an Indians fan.
CC Sabathia is going to pitch in Buffalo tomorrow, and if all goes well, should return to Cleveland five days from tomorrow.
Rafael Perez was excellent in his return to Akron. He struck out 7 in four innings of work. He's one of those many options the Indians have in reconfiguring their injury-depleted bullpen. Ryan Mulhern launched two home runs and went 3-4.
