Bill Livingston takes on the Indians' business practices:

As we sit here at the end of the day, just where are you, the fan, as you ponder the Indians' power-pointing, enhanced-entertainment-value mission statement about building a consistent winner in a culture of excellence? (Oh, right. Sitting at home, watching Tommy Lasorda exhort the fans of teams like the Tribe to watch the postseason.)

I confess I haven't lived long enough to become this bitter, so perhaps I don't understand where he's coming from. The GM and manager get along, which is a bad thing. The organization has a mission statement, which is a bad thing. Teams must have constant in-fighting and no direction in order to have success. Am I following his logic correctly?
