Devil Rays at Indians, 7:05 PM
Scott Kazmir (9-9, 3.85 ERA) vs Scott Elarton (11-7, 4.38 ERA)
By the time the game starts, the Indians could be in a tie for the Wild Card lead with Boston (and New York).
The key with Kazmir is to make him throw strikes. The hard-throwing left-hander has fantastic stuff, but can get wild. Of course you can say that about any young pitcher, but Kazmir has issued 95 walks this season, so being patient is especially important.
The Indians have had mixed results against Kazmir; in Tampa, they got to him early and often, knocking him out of the game after 2.1 IP. In Cleveland, they didn't manage a run, and later lost the game 1-0 thanks to Travis Lee's home run off of Bob Wickman.
