In today's Plain Dealer, Todd Walker is mentioned as a possible acquisition before the August 31 waiver trade deadline. Walker is hitting .301/.353/.474 this season.
My take: go for it. He probably wouldn't cost too much, and he'd be a nice upgrade to the offense. Even if he's used as a pinch hitter, he's a vast improvement over Jeff Liefer. He can play some first base, so he could take some at bats away from Ben Broussard.
