"Bulldog" Millwood

Yes, Jeff Liefer hit the go-ahead grand slam (possibly ensuring he stays on the roster the rest of the year), but in my eyes, Millwood was the difference in last night's win.

In the first couple innings you could tell he didn't have his good stuff; in fact he maybe spotted his curve for a strike twice. But somehow Kevin toughed  things out, and gave the team seven innings, much more than you could have asked for given the circumstances. He worked through several jams, the most important one being the sixth inning, when he worked around a leadoff triple.

Kevin richly deserved to be the winning pitcher, and this time the offense and bullpen delivered for him.
