Miller Up, Jason Davis sent down.....

From the newswire.... CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced they have recalled RHP MATT MILLER from the AAA Buffalo Bisons. To make room for Miller on the 25-man roster the Indians optioned RHP JASON DAVIS to AAA Buffalo.

Miller has gone 0-0 w/3 saves and a 0.87 ERA in 9 relief appearances at AAA Buffalo (10.1IP, 3H, 1R/ER, 2BB, 15K) and limited hitters to a .088 (3-34) average against. Over his last 3 outings he pitched 5.0IP and struck out 10 of the 15 batters he faced. Miller started the campaign with the Indians and did not allow a run over his 4 outings (3.1IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, 2K) before being optioned to Buffalo on April 16 when CC Sabathia was activated from the DL. He wears #59.

Davis has spent most of the year in the bullpen in Cleveland, going 2-1 w/a 5.56 ERA in 8 games/1 start (22.2IP, 24H, 14ER, 14BB, 19K). He will immediately be inserted into the AAA Buffalo starting rotation.
