Signed OF Todd Donovan, 2B Jose Flores, and 1B/3B Andy Tracy to minor-league contracts; Invited them to Spring Training

Donovan is the youngest of the bunch (27), and looks like a fifth outfielder to me. His biggest asset looks to be speed; he stole 62/75 bases and hit 10 triples for Jacksonville in 2005, his fourth straight season in AA.

Jose Flores is 32 years old, and coming off a very good showing (.336/.435/.443) at Las Vegas (park effect caveats apply). He's listed as a second baseman, and has accumulated a grand total of 7 MLB at-bats.

Tracy is a BGSU product, and is returning to the States after a year in Japan. He hit .315/.390/.631 for Colorado Springs in 2004 (again, consider the park effects). He did hit .260/.339/.484 in 192 at-bats with Montreal in 2000.

Named Tim Bogar manager, Scott Radinsky pitching coach, and Felix Fermin coach of Akron Aeros

Bogar managed the Lexington Legends of the South Atlantic League in 2005. He made his managerial debut with the Greeneville Astros of the Appalachian League in 2004. Bogar played for the Mets, Astros, and Dodgers during his nine-year MLB career.

Radinsky was Lake County's pitching coach last season, and Fermin was with Buffalo in 2005.
